To accommodate our guests not interested in horseback riding, we offer a new walking tour through the forest, which includes a visit to a family farm with friendly farm animals, and fun activities. The tour begins at the Catholic Church in Villa Nueva and continues by van through Naranjito and Villa Nueva. Upon arrival at the ranch, visitors are greeted with freshly brewed coffee and homemade cheese tortillas. The guide will share stories, show the medicinal plant garden and her Paso Fino horse. Visitors can also milk a cow and squeeze sugar cane juice.
For those who wish to visit the Tocori waterfall, there is a new intermediate hiking trail of approximately 20 minutes. When you reach the river, you can enjoy a dip. This hike is ideal for families, especially children, and offers the opportunity to enjoy the sounds and fresh air of the rainforest. Afterwards, we return to the farm to enjoy a Costa Rican lunch before ending the Campesino experience.
